My name is Emilia. I was born and raised in London, England but live in Texas, the Lone Star State, USA.

I started my business over a decade ago as a photographer, and photography is my passion,  but I found myself taking out my camera less and less due to the weight of it (with my preferred lens attached) which was contributing to back pain. I started focusing less on photo shoots and more on post-processing, and found that I actually preferred creating behind the scenes. I started creating toolkits  to speed up my editing workflow such as Photoshop actions, Lightroom presets, overlays, textures, clipart, and brushes. Essentially, all the tools needed for the effects I wanted. In other words, the tools and resources that other photographers, designers, and creatives could also use as part of their editing process, too. But...

I had loved everything about weddings since planning my own.  Back then I told myself I'd love to be a wedding planner! And one day I found myself playing around and creating a wedding program. I didn't know why, I was just drawn to it. I had noticed that some wedding programs had information that could be found on one program, but not another. And there didn't seem to be one program with ALL the information so that a wedding couple didn't have to choose between them. So I designed a program that contained all the info I thought a wedding couple would find relevant and then added some more. And what you have is a whimsy, 8-page program with everything about a couple's upcoming nuptials and honeymoon as well as their courtship and early childhood. I then designed the exact same program in 40 colors, thinking about traditional and modern wedding hues. 

Then came my fascination with names (and wall art in general). The names, usually seen on a wall in a baby's nursery, but perfect for toddlers, teens, or any age. The wall art, digital, whimsical, artistic files ready to print, frame, and hang. It was going to be my next project.  And so began, The Artsy Files.
